February 21 the Government adopted a decree "Questions of providing housing for certain categories of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and members of their families." Specified act is amended in the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of 19.10.2016 No. 719 "Patanasepatanase housing for the families of the dead soldiers that was directly involved in anti-terrorist operations, as well as disabled group i-II of the number of troops involved in this operation, and in need of better housing conditions" to broaden the circle of persons who may be paid a monetary compensation for belonging to them housing. In particular, the changes such a right is given to persons who participated in volunteer battalions, and the persons who performed volunteer activities in the area of the antiterrorist operation. The government with the aim of self-selection and procurement of housing developed the mechanism of target cash compensation for the purchase of housing to certain categories of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and members of their families. The law of Ukraine "On status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection" provides for the right of priority to provide housing for disabled war veterans, participants in the anti-terrorist operation and members of the families of the lost participants of anti-terrorist operation. The specified category of persons to self-select the most appropriate housing and buying it at the expense of monetary compensation provided by the Government. This will enable effective use of budget funds and to avoid dissatisfaction with the housing acquired by state authorities for the above categories of the population.
