Vinnicchina: "Harmony" begins the project on support for persons with hearing disabilities to "Hear the heart" (photos)
March 2, at the rehabilitation center "Harmony" held a press conference in Vinnytsia public organization of young people with disabilities "Harmony" for the realization of the project "Hear my heart". The project is implemented with the support of the regional state administration and financed by the regional budget. "The project is aimed at creating conditions for learning sign language workers in various fields of service in Vinnytsia region with the goal of bringing them into the process of inclusion of people with functional hearing problems in the society", – says the head of the project "Hear my heart" Lyudmila Netsky. "Duration 1 hour 20 minutes will be held twice a week for 2 months," – said the coach of the project Svetlana Zaborowska. "And this time is enough to master more than 400 gestures," she added. According to statistics, in the city of Vinnitsa and Vinnitsa region is home to about 2.5 thousand people with hearing impairments. In the framework of the project it is planned to develop and manufacture a series of specialized teaching materials, including calendars and brochures. After the press conference was held the solemn awarding of certificates to employees of the Vinnytsia regional pathoanatomical Bureau, which last year completed a course of sign language. You can say that this project is only the first step towards the deeper inclusion and socialization of individuals with functional limitations of hearing. In the future it will attract workers of health, education, employment centers, pension Fund, Railways, and other institutions and organizations to the process to enable individuals with disabilities to society through the provision of better social services. Recall that Vinnytsia public organization of young people with disabilities "Harmony" was one of 14 winners of the competition to determine the programs developed by institutions of civil society, which provides financial support in 2017 for the expense of the regional budget, which is traditionally held every year by the Department of information activities and communications with the public RSA.
