city Council held a working meeting of Chernihiv mayor Vladislav Atroshenko with the authors of the awarded projects of the open architectural contest for the best project proposal the construction of the Memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine, which took place on 27 February. The meeting was held with the participation of Deputy of the mayor Alexander Lomako and Alexander Atroshchenko, as well as the head of Department of architecture and urban planning of the city Council Sergey Kalyuzhny. As previously reported, the competition was won three best projects: 1 place – the project the students of the Kiev national University of construction and architecture Anastasia Orisek. 2 place - the project the students of the Kiev national University of construction and architecture Elena goretskaya. 3rd place – the project author team, consisting of sculptors Alexander Ruban and Victor Lipovka and architect Andrey Danilenko. The mayor thanked the participants for their active participation and expressed satisfaction that the competition was attended by student representatives. During the meeting, the participants once again discussed the projects of the winners and made suggestions on the design. The head of Department of architecture and urban planning of the city Council Sergey Kalyuzhny noted that the competition determined the main idea, which can be supplemented and improved. At the suggestion of the mayor, following a meeting with the authors of the winning project of the competition is scheduled for Monday, March 27. By this time, should be made a 3D model of the Memorial - for a better acquaintance with the project. The participants of the meeting supported the proposal of Alexander the Phony about being invited to this meeting of the members of the families of the fallen heroes and to reflect the vision and wishes: - If some idea we liked, but not perceived, it is not necessary to build such a memorial, he said.
