17 March, the region hosted a number of events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the events of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921 years. With the participation of the Chairman of regional state administration Valery Cows, Chairman of the regional Council Anatoliy Oliynyk, mayor Sergey Morgunov, residents and guests, representatives of civil society institutions and mass media of the region were laid baskets to the memorial plaque of the Minister of justice of the Ukrainian people's Republic Dmitry Markovich, located on Cathedral street. Recall that all activities are conducted in accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine ¹ 17/2016 of 22 January 2016 "On measures to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the events of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921" - in order to commemorate the traditions of struggle for independence and unity of Ukraine and valor of the defenders of the native land, the creators of national statehood, thousands of years of history of statehood of our people, recognition of the historical significance of the events connected with the liberation struggle of the early twentieth century and the establishment of the Ukrainian statehood in the form of the Ukrainian national Republic, Ukrainian State and the Western Ukrainian people's Republic, its importance for the restoration of Ukrainian independence in 1991, approval of the historical unity of land, consolidation of society and strengthening the international authority of Ukraine.
