20 March, on the European square, a solemn laying of flowers and wreaths at the Glory Memorial and monument to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and the ATO warriors on the occasion of the region 73rd anniversary of the liberation of Vinnitsa from fascist aggressors during the Second world war 1939-1945. In the solemn laying ceremony took part the Deputy Chairman – Director of the Department of education and science of regional state administration Igor Ivasyuk, Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Lyudmila shcherbakovskaya, Vice-mayor Vladislav Skalsky, and Galina Yakubovich, Secretary mayor Paul Jablonski, members of the Armed forces of Ukraine, participants of the antiterrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine, residents and guests, representatives of civil society institutions and mass media of the region. A minute of silence was held in memory of all fallen soldiers during the Second world war of 1939-1945 and the Ukrainian servicemen who died during the antiterrorist operation on the territory temporarily occupied Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The honor guard platoon of the command of the Air Forces, accompanied by military band March past was held at the European square, paying tribute to the fallen Heroes.
