At the initiative of the Ukrainian Council of Churches and religious organizations in the city of Vinnytsya April 2, 2017, on the European square of the city – near the monument to Heroes of Heavenly Hundred and the ATO warriors, held a regional prayer for peace. The prayer was joined by representatives of the regional Council of Churches and religious organizations. During the prayer a large number of citizens, together with the clergy prays for an end to the war, for the release of prisoners and detainees, civilians of Donbass and Crimea, refugees and internally displaced persons who left their homes. For early establishment of peace and unity in our state, Monday April 3, the Church called on believers to spend in emergency personal post. After the service, flowers were laid to monuments to fallen heroes of the Heavenly hundred and the ATO warriors. Similar events were held in most regional centres, bringing together the whole of Ukraine in prayer, in spite of political preferences, ethnic origin or religion.
