In Vinnytsia region planted more than 75% of the projected area of sowing of early grain and leguminous crops
the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine on 6 April 2017 was held a teleconference with the Director of the Department of agriculture and technical policy Vladimir Topchiy on the issues of carrying out a complex of spring field works in 2017. The meeting discussed issues of the state's top dressing of winter crops, sowing of early spring grains and leguminous crops in Ukraine in General and in the context of areas and logistical resources for carrying out a complex of spring field works. Were heard from all regions of Ukraine for the preparation and realization of spring field works. In the agricultural sector Vinnytsia region as of 06.04.2017 year in all categories of farms of the region closed moisture on the area 795,9 thousand hectares, prepared the soil for sowing of spring crops on the area of – 349 thousand hectares. With the projected area of sowing of early grain and leguminous crops – 122,0 thousand hectares sown and 91.6 thousand hectares (75.1% of the forecast), including spring wheat and 9.4 thousand hectares (72,8 %), spring barley - 57.1 thousand hectares (66,4 %), oats - 1.1 ha (63,7 %), peas – 23,8 thousand hectares (112,4 %). Agricultural enterprises of the region have started sowing maize for grain: the projected area of 345,6 thousand hectares sown 5.2 thousand hectares, or 1.5 %. Sugar beet with the projected area of 54.8 hectares planted 33 hectares (60,2 %). Sunflower seeds with projected area 198,9 thousand hectares sown 37,2 thousand hectares (18.7 per cent). Soybeans with the predicted square– 175,0 thousand hectares, planted on an area of 820 ha(0.5%).
