In the Rivne city court continues trial of an indictment against one of rural chairmen of the Rivne region, who is accused of obtaining illegal benefit in the amount of 520 thousand UAH. 21.04.2017 a panel of judges granted the petition of the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region on the extension to the accused of the period of application of the preventive measure – of bail in the amount of 580 thousand UAH. Also at the request of the public Prosecutor extended the period of suspension of the Chairman of agriculture from office for 60 days. Recall that the village head was exposed in August 2016 while obtaining an undue advantage for the preparation of the documentation necessary for granting to the citizen in the property 10 land plots with a total area of 1.5 hectares. The actions of the suspect are qualified under part 4 of article 368 UK of Ukraine (obtaining illegal benefit in especially large size). Since in accordance with article 12 of the criminal code of Ukraine the head of the village alleged crime is classified as a very serious indictment on the merits of collectively Rivne city court, composed of three professional judges. Reference: for a specified criminal offence penalized by deprivation of liberty for a term from 8 till 12 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to 3 years, with confiscation of property.
