In Lutsk opened an international photo exhibition "Day-2016"
In the library of the Eastern national University of Lesya Ukrainka, the opening of the XVIII International photo exhibition "Day-2016" in the framework of the annual "Days of "Day" in Ukraine. The current exhibition is significant, because on April 28 in Ukraine appeared the first issue of the newspaper “Day”. The organizer and inspirer of the exhibition is chief editor of the newspaper “Day” Larysa Ivshyna. At the solemn opening of the photo exhibition all-Ukrainian newspaper "Day" was visited by the Secretary of the city Council Igor Polishchuk, public and cultural figures, participants of the project, the management, teachers and students SLEEP. For 17 years in different cities of Ukraine took place 115 exhibitions "Day", which was attended by about a million people. Awards received 778 photographers. Symbol of the XVIII International photo contest "the Day" is a wreath – metaphor of the family. This wreath woven of photos from all over the country. This year, more than 2,400 photos of the editorial jury selected 350 of the best works of both professionals and Amateurs. Among nominations – "Ukrainian world", "Politics", "history", "World eyes of children", where the works of the authors under 18, and "Birds of water", which is supported by public organization "Ukrainian society for the protection of birds". The first congratulated the guests and organizers of the event, the rector of the East European national University Igor Kotsan. “Despite the difficult events that are happening now in our state, I am convinced that holding such events is important. It's nice that luck newspaper “the Day” will present the best photos for the twelfth year. The current exhibition is a vast family album of the Ukrainian present”, - he stressed. Also Igor Kotsan congratulated Larissa Ivshina with the 20th anniversary of creative activity, wishing, optimism and success in the future. Acting mayor Igor Polishchuk in his welcoming speech noted that the photo exhibition organized by all-Ukrainian magazine “the Day” - a great honor for luck. “It's nice that here it is a huge number of students. I'm sure these photos will help them build a correct worldview. Thank you for your attention to our city. Congratulations to all your staff and hope that the project will continue for many years,” he said. The organizer of the exhibition, chief editor of the newspaper “Day” Larysa Ivshyna expressed gratitude to the Lutsk side for the warm welcome, festive atmosphere and assistance in organizing the exhibition. “For 18 years the exhibition has become a real contest that is taking the photographers own hands. It is the perfect environment in which the creators of the photos have the opportunity to compete and improve their skills. And the winners of this competition is the forge photographic staff, which is constantly updated,” said she. Also congratulations to the chief editor of the newspaper “the Day” were heard from the representative of the Fund Igor Palitsa “Only together” Dmitry Zinko, Executive Director of the Foundation “Volyn-2014” Vladimir Krimovica and representatives of socially responsible business, with the assistance of which in schools of Lutsk and Lutsk district will be delivered books from the “Library of the newspaper “Day”.
