According to the database of the Unified state automated register of beneficiaries as of may 1, 2017 in Lutsk live 7399 war veterans, including: - disabled war – 726 people, including 61 invalid of the great Patriotic war; - combatants – 2447 people, including 85 people - combatants in the great Patriotic war; - veterans – 3015 people - family members of killed (deceased) war veterans – 1209. - participants of military actions in the zone of the antiterrorist operation 1424 person, including 63 disabled veterans of the ATO. On the city has a Program of social protection of the population of the city for the years 2016-2020, the implementation of measures which the Department of social policy is the monthly stipend for combatants aged 90 years or more in the amount of 300 hryvnia each. During January - April 2017 payment held for 40 persons indicated category for a total amount of 47100 hryvnia. Executing said Program in 2017 include funds to provide financial support to community veterans ' organizations for the implementation of statutory activities. For providing financial support in 2017 for the implementation of the statutory objectives addressed the following public Association of veterans of the Lutsk city organization all-Ukrainian Association of veterans of the Lutsk city organization of veterans of Ukraine, Lutsk city organization of disabled veterans, Armed Forces and combatants, Department of the Lutsk city, Volyn regional veteranska-cultural society "Kholmshchyna", Lutsk city organization "Union prisoners victims of Nazism", which, during the current year will receive financial support totaling 75 000 UAH. Also, this year in departmental sanatoria of the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine improved 39 war veterans. However, the payment of annual one-time cash assistance to the 5th of may for 6838 persons from among war veterans in the amount of 6 982 100 hryvnia in the following sizes: 1) to disabled veterans and former juvenile prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention, recognized as invalids from General disease, labour mutilation and for other reasons: - to invalids of war of I group — 3500 UAH; - to invalids of war of II group — 3100 UAH; - to invalids of war of III group — 2700 UAH; 2) combatants — 1200 UAH; 3) members of families of victims and wives (husbands) of the died disabled veterans, wives (husbands) of the died participants of operations, participants of war and victims of Nazi prosecutions recognized during lifetime by disabled people from the General disease, a labour mutilation and other reasons that are not married for the second time, — 600 UAH; 4) war — 500 hryvnia. The structural units of the territorial centre is served by a 648 war veterans (disabled war veterans – 38; combatants – 20 persons; participants of war – 441 persons; widows of war veterans and 95 people; the families of the victims – 54 people). Of the total number of world war II veterans that are served by the institution - 330 served by social workers of departments of social assistance at home. During January-April of the current year for free provided daily hot Lunches for 25 people in this category (for 2 months each); used the services of the office of targeted assistance (Barber, Laundry, tailor shop, watch repair, carpenter, electrician, plumber) 244 veterans received assistance in the room things presented to 97 people.
