Chernivtsi celebrate Europe Day
On the occasion of Europe Day on the Cathedral square of Chernivtsi was held a festive meeting, which was attended by representatives of the authorities and the public. While it was solemnly raised the flags of Ukraine and the European Union. "Our country has always stood at the crossroads of European routes, so for most Ukrainians, Europe Day is a special holiday – said the Deputy mayor Alexander paskar. – we denote the shared values, common history, our common future. We're talking the approval of the common cultural and European mental space, a more holistic Ukrainian society." Dedicated to Europe Day was also held a traditional festival of brass music. The citizens had the opportunity to enjoy the marching music and adaptations of folk melodies performed by the best of children's brass bands in the Central region, the Cathedral, the Theatre, the squares and the square Philharmonic.
