the Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region continues to expose the places of illegal manufacture, storage and distribution of illegally manufactured tobacco products in the territory. Prosecutors of the Department of supervision over observance of laws by bodies of the fiscal service of the Prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region together with employees of the Main Department of State fiscal service in the Transcarpathian region special investigation unit of the Western regional government of tax service of Ukraine Mukachevo border detachment, established the facts of storage and further sale of excisable goods group in the territory of one of the border districts. with the aim of preventing distribution of counterfeit cigarettes throughout the region, during the inspection in one of the houses specified of the district Prosecutor's office identified and seized 47 000 packs of tobacco products without excise duty stamps of the Ukraine prepared for smuggling across the state border of Ukraine, an estimated value for the sum over 1 million UAH. On this fact the criminal proceedings on signs of the criminal offense under part 1 of article 204 of the criminal code of Ukraine (illegal production, storage, sale or transportation with a sales objective of illicitly manufactured tobacco products or other excise goods), which sanction prescribes punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of 17,000 UAH. up to 34,000 UAH. Currently criminal proceedings are held urgent investigative (search) actions, after which the issue will be resolved on the implementation of the notice on the said article of the criminal code.
