The Minister of defence of Ukraine signed a decree on conscription for military service of reserve officers
"the Minister of defense of Ukraine General of army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak signed a decree that defines the conditions of conscription of reserve officers who graduated from military departments of higher educational institutions of Ukraine and received a primary officer rank". About it, may 30, during a briefing for media representatives said the chief of staff, Deputy chief of the General staff of the armed forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Artur Artemenko. "Five minutes ago, I received important information that the Minister of defence of Ukraine signed an order which determines the order of conscription for military service of officers in 2017. This order is signed, it will now be sent to the Ministry of justice and after approval will come into force," said Lieutenant General Artur Artemenko. He recalled that on urgent service officer can be called to persons under the age of 43 years, who completed a full course of military training on program of preparation of reserve officers who graduated from military departments, with higher education below a bachelor's degree and which has the primary officer rank. "According to the Ministry of defense of Ukraine No. 170 of the term of military service at the call for those officers is 18 months," he said. Persons who will receive the agenda of the military, are obliged at a certain time to arrive at the collection points for service. In case of absence without a valid reason which must be documented citizens shall bear responsibility in the manner prescribed by law. The basis for adjournment of the appeal, according to the current legislation, there may be family circumstances, health status, deferment may be granted for education or to continue working. Lieutenant-General Arthur Artemenko recalled that the recruiting resource of retired officers of these categories only for the last 7 years is 91957. Of them the service will be called the required number to man the primary officer positions. Chief of staff – Deputy chief of the General staff of the armed forces of Ukraine said that the position in the units that perform tasks in the ATO, involved only officers of the military service under the contract. Officers of military service for conscripts will serve outside the ATO in paragraphs permanent deployment of military units.
