Nationwide tour, “Change” in Chernivtsi — a candid dialogue for change in the country
June 7 at 11:30 in the Chernivtsi city Council (Central square, 1, session hall) will host a public discussion of key issues in Ukraine that concern the public. Experts of the public organization “Center UA” and the coalition Reanimation package of reforms will host a public event during the required reforms and democratic changes in the region and the country. Together with representatives of local authorities, consolidated territorial communities, the communities of medical professionals, social activists and journalists will discuss: • health care reform will be implemented in the lives of citizens at the level of cities and United local communities. • what the electoral rules will allow to start the change of political elites in the country at the national and regional level; • how taxpayers can control what their money is being spent; • under what conditions the authorities will hear the positions and demands of citizens and how to influence decision-making. Participation in the event will be: • Alexander Lynch, Deputy Minister of health; • Ina Borzillo, leader of direction the “Equal access policy” of the Centre UA; • Andrey Andrushko, leader of the direction “Control of public Finance” of the Centre UA; • Alexander Yabchenko, expert from the medical reform Reanimation package of Reforms. The program of the event: • 11:30 – 12:00 Registration and welcome coffee; • 12:00 – 12:40 Presentation of the tour and discussion of system changes; • 12:40 – 14:00 Parallel public consultation: – with representatives of the medical community regarding the reform of the sphere of protection of health, including issues of control over the use of public Finance in this area; – with representatives of political forces and political analysts on access policy and access to decision-making.
