the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine introduced changes to the Law regarding the language of audiovisual (electronic) mass media No. 5313. Vpone the bill was supported by 269 deputies. The law establishes that the share of transmission and/or films in the Ukrainian language for national broadcasters is at least 75% from 7:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 22:00, and for regional and local broadcasters is 50%. The share of news in the state language in these same intervals also must be at least 75% of the issue. For thereorganization, regional and local categories of the broadcasting act sets a mandatory share of Ukrainian-language content at 50%.
