In Volyn region Prosecutor's office demands more severe punishment for parricide
Liuboml the inter-district Department of the local Prosecutor's office will appeal against the verdict of Kovel district court that 41-year-old resident of the village, Liuboml district Horodnie convicted of killing his 73-year-old father. The evening of 10 November 2016 at the yard'th near the house drunk man during a quarrel caused a loved one to seven blows with an axe on the head. From the received injuries the victim died. The court found the man guilty of premeditated murder (a criminal offence under part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal code of Ukraine) and has appointed to it punishment in the form of 8 years and 6 months imprisonment. Prosecutors challenged the verdict in SV'connection to improper application of the law of Ukraine on criminal responsibility, lack of punishment severity of the criminal offense and the person accused.
