In Chernihiv celebrated the Day of highly mobile airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In Chernihiv on the occasion of highly mobile airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place the solemn event, which was attended by the leaders of the city and region, veterans and members of the public. The participants of the celebrations laid flowers at the monument to those killed during the fighting in Afghanistan and on the territory of other States, the Memorial to fallen ATO participants and Heroes of the Celestial Hundreds. For all visitors to red square, an exhibition of main samples of armament and military (special) equipment. In the regional academic Ukrainian music and drama theatre named after T. G. Shevchenko on the occasion of highly mobile airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine held a solemn meeting with war veterans, retired officers, military units. In his welcoming speech Chernihiv city Chairman Vladislav Atroshenko congratulated all those present on the occasion of Day of airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanked them for conscientious service, and paid homage to the troops and veterans. The mayor wished everyone good health, happiness, confidence in the future. During the ceremony the Chairman of the Council of veterans of the First Guards army, major General retired Boris Stashkov handed Vladislav Atroshenko badge. He thanked the mayor for their help and assistance in many issues of veterans, as well as for significant contribution to the development of the city.
