The tax to incomes of physical persons: innovations in 2016
From January 1 of the current year entered into force the Law of Ukraine from December 24, 2015 No. 909-VIII "On amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine and certain legislative acts of Ukraine concerning balancing the budget revenue in 2016". Thus, in particular, by Law No. 909-VIII changed the tax rate on personal income. From 1 January 2016 rate applies to 18% of any amount of income. With the exception of pensioners receiving more than three size of the minimal wage (from 1 January 2016 – 4 134 UAH) – from the sum exceeding 4134 UAH of the personal income tax will be levied at the rate of 15%. Passive income: personal income tax rate of 18% (previously 20%), except for dividends on shares and corporate rights accrued by resident payers of tax on profit of enterprises. For such income rate remains 5%. Tax social benefit will be provided in the amount of 50% of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied person (per month) prescribed by law on 1 January of the reporting tax year. Advance payments of the tax to incomes of physical persons is calculated by the taxpayer independently in accordance with the actual data specified in the Book of accounting of incomes and expenses of each calendar quarter and paid in the budget before the 20th of the month following each calendar quarter (until 20 April to 20 July and 20 October). Advance payment for the fourth calendar quarter shall be calculated and paid.
