New principles of military medical care in Ukraine

On the basis of the Military doctrine, approved by presidential decree, formed a military medical doctrine, which was approved by the Government. "Military medical doctrine was developed, was considered by the NATO liaison Office, expressed some comments and suggestions, which are recorded. Military medical doctrine agreed upon by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine", – said the Chairman of the civil-Military coordinating headquarters medical care, the Deputy defense Minister Yuriy Gusev. In addition, civil-Military coordination staff approved contingency plans that will be imposed in case of aggravation of the situation during the ATO in Eastern Ukraine. The main objectives of the Doctrine are: * the creation of a single effective system of state management of medical protection for the preservation of life and health of citizens of Ukraine, its financial, logistical and human resources, as well as coordination of activities of its members in emergencies, reducing the number of the wounded and sick in times of war and peace and the prevention of disability and disability; * creation of complete system of physical, psychosomatic and social rehabilitation to return in the shortest possible time to the ranks or work activities affected; * creation of effective system of training different target groups on providing pre-medical aid. According to this document, NATO for the first time introduced the principles of medical care. In particular, the principle of "platinum minutes", when within the first ten minutes after receiving the wound or injury, the soldier must obtain first aid or provide it to yourself. During the "Golden hours" will be provided for the evacuation of the wounded from the scene to the nearest medical institution, and for the next six hours – delivery to a stationary hospital in the rear to provide all necessary medical care.
