In Zhytomyr presented a history of Poland
At the initiative of the Consulate General of Poland in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr Regional Union of Poles of Ukraine, the involvement of historians of the Institute of National Remembrance (Poland) and the support of the Department of culture, Zhytomyr oblast state administration January 13, 2016 at 16.00 in the Zhytomyr oblast universal scientific library named after. A. Olzhych will be a presentation of the photo exhibition "In the arms of big brother. The Soviets in Poland, 1944-1993". The exhibition is dedicated to the history of Poland of the Communist period, the victims of the Soviet terror, but also symbols and cultural codes of the era. The exhibition was created by the Institute of National Remembrance of Poland. 56 the stands are about 150 original photographs that have been collected by libraries, photo agencies and individuals. The main part of the exhibition is devoted 1944-1993 G. G. most of the photos show the political, social, economic and cultural life in the Polish people's Republic. During the exhibition there will be a presentation of the book "Poland – history".
