Uzhgorod rescuers taught the citizens how to safely bathe on Epiphany
on the Eve of the great feast of the Epiphany, the Transcarpathian rescuers conducted with people preventive discussions. 13 January, representatives of Uzhgorod district Department DSNs has carried out awareness-roses’explanatory work with inhabitants of the regional center, designed to enhance the awareness of citizens about the rules of safe bathing for the Christening. Rescuers visited the Botanical promenade and talked to the locals – as fans of winter swimming, and ordinary passers-by. They were given information leaflets and told how the recommendations should adhere to while diving into the hole. In particular, representatives of the state emergency service advised citizens to harden the body on the eve of Baptism, to choose the hole with the safe descent to the water and swim only in the presence of medical and rescue workers, in no case do not drink before swimming alcohol, make shore to dip in the water exercises, and in the river itself to be no more than ten seconds, then RUB the body with a towel and dress warmly. And most importantly, people are urged to ensure that children do not dive into the icy water without adult supervision. Finally, rescuers warned residents of Uzhgorod, January 19, fighters of gschs will be on duty at locations designated by the city authorities for bathing on Epiphany.
