Rivne region: the rescuers summed up the response to emergency events and worsening weather conditions in the period of new year and Christmas holidays
January 13, in regional state administration under the leadership of the first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yuriy Primorskogo was held operational meeting of the permanent Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations of the Rivne region. During operation, the members of the regional standing Commission analyzed in detail the results of the work of local authorities, of all services and agencies in responding to emergencies and adverse weather conditions on the territory of Rivne region in the period of new year and Christmas holidays. The head of the rescue Service region Sergey Kruk informed the participants that the purpose of rapid response to emergency events and situations in the period of Christmas and new year holidays unit of the Main Directorate of SSES were transferred to the strengthened mode of service. Round-the-clock on duty there were about 200 people of staff and over 55 pieces of equipment. During this period, Rivne rescuers quickly eliminated the fire 51 and prevented destruction of property on hundreds of thousands of UAH, 12 times assisted the police after road traffic accidents caused by icy conditions on the roads of the region. Also, in connection’connection with a sharp decrease in air temperature, employees of the state Service for emergency situations 04 January deployed 2 mobile mobile points of heating in the city of Rivne to provide assistance to the population from hypothermia and 35 stationary heating of local Executive bodies in the localities in which during the period of almost 350 individuals have received assistance. However, the region organized the work of mobile points of GU gschs-based rapid response vehicles to ensure prompt assistance and heating of the population. In General, due to the constant monitoring of fire, technological security, hydro-meteorological situation managed to avoid large-scale emergency incidents and situations on the territory of Rivne region. At the end of his speech, the chief of GU gschs in the Rivne region Sergey Kruk appealed to the leaders of local authorities and bodies of local self-government for the revitalization of roses’explanatory work among the population about the security measures and procedures during complications weather conditions, and also to provide secure conditions of stay of people in places of mass celebrations of Baptism. In turn, first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yuriy Primorski stressed members of the Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations and the heads of all departments and agencies on the need to make every effort to avoid during the winter period on the territory of the Oblast emergency situations and incidents and in case of their occurrence, ensure a concerted and coordinated actions for their efficient elimination. According to the results of all the reports and taking into account the discussion of the agenda of the constant Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations of the Rivne region took the report with a list of specific tasks and deadlines for their implementation.
