Chernivtsi: Seminar on energy efficiency held in city Council

the project of Ukrainian-German cooperation GIZ "energy Efficiency in communities" on January 13, the city Council held a workshop on the activities of the ESCO, the financial model, the experience of European countries and implementation of projects on energy efficient rehabilitation of buildings of educational institutions. Speakers of the event were the Deputy project Director GIZ Ima Khrenova-Simkin, consultant of GIZ project Bostan Crain and Dmitry Marusich, founder of the WEEK ltd. (Latvia) Eric Berman, representatives of the consortium headed by Zhytomyr city Council. Participation the seminar was attended by deputies of city Council, representatives of public institutions and communal enterprises, state-owned banks, condominiums, housing cooperatives and Executive bodies of city Council. The Deputy of the mayor concerning activity of Executive bodies of the city Council Maria porchuk, opening the event, noted the importance of cooperation of the consortium with the project of Ukrainian-German cooperation GIZ "energy Efficiency in communities". "It is in this framework, important steps were taken towards the preparation of an important town for the major energy-saving projects, prepared a Baseline emission inventory and approved the action Plan for sustainable energy development, defining specific measures to save energy time and certain functions, implemented pilot projects “Capital repair of street lighting with use of innovative energy efficiency measures renewable energy (solar) m. Chernivtsi” and “reconstruction of the hot water system DOE No. 41, vul. Poletaeva,19, m. Chernivtsi by the installation of vacuum solar collectors”, school campaign to implement energy efficiency in Chernivtsi", – continued Maria porchuk.
