From the beginning of the year in the regional center observed the tense situation with the fires. Compared to the same period last year their number has increased significantly. In addition, as a result of influence of dangerous factors of fire killed 2 people. Tragic cases occur in the residential sector. Analysis of the situation shows that the reason is their own negligence, and in some cases – blatant disregard for population security measures, in particular by careless handling of fire, dangerous objects and substances, as well as in the operation of electrical and heating appliances. With this in mind, to prevent and to warn of emergency situations and fires, which are typical for the winter period, January 14 specialists of Khmelnitsky city Department of GU gschs in the Khmelnytsky oblast conducted preventive testing of residential homes that are served by housing-operational office ¹ 1 in Khmelnytskyi. During the event, priority was given to single elderly, large families and unstable families. In the course of refining the rescuers also reminded the population of the basic rules of fire safety in the home, the causes of fires. For the qualitative assimilation of the reservations population were presented thematic leaflets and pam’reminder on rules of conduct in the conditions of occurrence of possible emergencies.
