In the Volyn region, rescuers conducted exercises to respond to emergencies on the water'objects
15 January in the city of Lutsk, on the Styr river floodplain specialists diving search and rescue service emergency rescue team of the office DSNS Ukraine in the Volyn region conducted exercises to respond to emergency situations on water objects. Specialists salvage a case demonstrated to the workers of fire-saving divisions of the regional center, study center of the listeners and the audience-the fishermen of the means of escape in case if the person fell through the ice and she was in the icy water, and worked out different ways to assist the victim. For example, simulated situations – man fell through the ice and needs assistance, the divers used for its rescue ladder, lifebuoy, rescue rope with end "Alexandrov", rescue boat-sled, and the device "straw". Specialists of the medical service in detail of the roses’explained the rules of first aid to the man who fell through the ice: recommended to warm him with hot tea, remove wet clothing and wrap in warm blanket and call the ambulance, but warned against the warming of the victim alcohol. As the head group salvage Arkady Minor: “the Exercise was conducted to determine the readiness of the group diving and rescue works to rescue people on the water in the winter, to check the ability of personnel to use safety equipment when assisting the person who fell through the ice, to study with the personnel of the units, the ways of rescue operations on ice and the procedure for providing victims with first aid for hypothermia. With the tasks, all the participants coped, hence it will enable the rescue service "101" to apply the acquired knowledge and practical skills in case of real emergency situations to help people". All the exercises involved 20 personnel and 2 units. After rescuers talked to the fans of winter fishing, again roses’explained to them the dangers of violation of rules of conduct on the ice. The specialists of civil protection gave each pam’tents, warned to go on thin ice, to gather in large groups and make around ourselves a lot of holes, and encouraged to always have a rope or a long stick to save or assist their comrades.
