In Vinnytsia region there are the experts of the European Commission for regional and urban policy (+photo)

In the regional state administration was held the meeting of administration with experts of the EU Programme "Support to regional development policy in Ukraine". The meeting was attended by: first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko, representatives of international cooperation Department of the regional state administration , regional Departments of economic development and Finance of the regional state administration, principal Directorate of the state Treasury in the Vinnitsa region. The EU was represented by Advisor to the European Commission, DG for regional and urban policy Michael Ralph, leading expert of the Program PRO Bernard Wendel, experts, interpreters. Among the guests was the head of the project "Center of adaptation of immigrants and entrepreneurs from the area of ATO and Crimea in Vinnytsia region" Valery Nikityuk and Manager communications project Inna Zagnitko. During the meeting they discussed issues related to prospects of socio-economic development of Vinnytsia region and further cooperation with the EU Program "Support to regional development policy in Ukraine". Andrew Gyzhko briefed the European experts with the priorities defined "Strategy balanced regional development of Vinnytsia region for the period till 2020 and the Program of economic and social development of the Vinnytsia region in 2016", described the results of the projects in 2015, with the attraction of international investments ,in particular, the third phase of the CBA project in 8 districts of the region (attracted 500 thousand dollars USA), the implementation of 10 micro-projects, valued 10.5 million USD. Ukrainian social investment Fund and 6 projects of territorial communities of Vinnytsia region, supported by the European Commission, a total cost of 2.7 million Euros. First Deputy Chairman of regional state administration also highlighted the results of cooperation with the Swiss government, which has allocated 127 million Swiss francs for energy efficient modernization of housing M. the winery, insulation of old heating pipes in the centre and installation of two powerful boilers on pellets. "Upon completion of the work, 35 % of the boiler plants of the city of Vinnitsa will run on alternative fuel – pellets",- he noted. Andrew Gyzhko highlighted the development of local self-government, decentralization and intergovernmental fiscal relations: "As a result of fiscal decentralization, the region received 576,4 mn. additional revenue to the General Fund of local budgets of the region for 2015. It is beneficial to the community and serves as an impetus for development." The official also noted that the regional state administration entered the regional contest of local initiatives for local communities: "Last year we supported 142 community projects, and for 2016 in the regional budget laid 5 mln. spending to support projects of the community." In turn, Advisor to the European Commission, DG for regional and urban policy Michael Ralph asked how favorable is the investment climate in Vinnytsia region, compared with other regions. The expert was also interested in the development of innovative technologies in the field and support the power of small and medium business.
