Chernihiv: Rescuers warn citizens to be careful during the celebration of the baptism of

19 January marks the Epiphany - a great Christian holiday. According to tradition, on this day, the vast majority of Orthodox go to the ponds to collect Holy water and some to bathe. It is believed that on Epiphany water gets curative properties, which retains throughout the years. This celebration involves a large crowd of people near water, so there is a risk of unforeseen situations. To ensure the safety of citizens near the baptismal font of Chernihiv region will be set 38 rescue stations, which will be on duty lifeguard 94 and 21 vehicles. Employees of management of SSES of Ukraine in Chernihiv region encourage residents and visitors to observe the following precautions: - bathe only in specially equipped places, where there are rescue posts, and the bottom of the reservoir is checked and cleared of dangerous objects; - before diving into the hole it is necessary to warm up the body, because the temperature of water significantly below body temperature; to plunge it is best for neck, without wetting the head, to avoid reflex vasoconstriction brain; - never dive into the hole headfirst. Jumping into the water and dive in head first is not recommended, because it increases the loss of heat and can lead to shock; - do not swim or go in the hole more than 1 minute to avoid hypothermia of the body; - do not leave children unattended, keep a close watch on them, swipe them prophylactically-explanatory conversations; - in any case do not enter the water after consuming alcohol; - after dipping RUB yourself with a towel, put on dry clothes and drink hot tea.
