January 20, in Day of memory of defenders of the Donetsk airport in Vinnitsa legendary "cyborgs" for their courage, steadfastness, resoluteness in the execution of military duty during the defense of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during the ATO, was awarded orders and medals for the defense of the Donetsk airport. Nine residents of distinction awarded posthumously. For the deceased of the order was received by his wife and brothers-in-arms. The solemn celebration in honour of participants of ATO "cyborgs" took place in the Vinnytsia officers house. Addressing the audience, Deputy Chairman and Director of the Department of education and science of regional state administration Igor Ivasyuk said: "We are on the eve of such an important national holiday, the holiday of unity of our country – the Day of Unity of Ukraine. But the events that happened a year ago, quite another for us to watch on this holiday. Then real patriots proved the unity and invincibility of the Ukrainian people. This is an example of selfless sacrifice in the Name of freedom and integrity of Ukraine. These 242 days of defense of the airport will go down in the history of our country forever.
