"When you come out of the walls of this Museum, I feel the pain, because there are a lot of people have undergone considerable physical and mental torture, said Deputy Director of Ternopil regional inspection of protection of monuments of history and culture Ludmila Strocen. - This exhibition we decided to show how to honor these Heroes of the current generation." The pride of the exhibition is the first card-the banner of the region with the designation of military districts, which recorded all the headquarters of the UPA, typography, major battles and monuments of the rebel movement. "We hope that this map, developed by us, will be included in the school course of history of the region," he hoped Ludmila Strocen. In General, in the region of about 500 monuments that have emerged over the years of Ukraine's independence. They were built primarily for money of local communities, the Diaspora, fellow rebels who live abroad. Participation in the opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chairman – chief of staff of regional state administration Igor Wons. "The proclamation of Ukraine's independence is only the first step, but really still needs a lot of work to make our country truly rallied - said Igor Wons. We see that the incompleteness of this process has led to a large number of casualties... These photos show how difficult and thorny path we were before independence, and at the same time remind us of the responsibility entrusted to each of us. Each of us must make every effort to have a United Ukraine!" Then Igor Wons thanked all who contributed to the organization of the exhibition and stressed that such work is essential.
