The integrated development plan of Chernivtsi will be developed by the experts of GIZ

representatives of the German society for international cooperation “Deutsche gesellschaft f?r internationale zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH" met in the town Hall with the mayor Alexei Kaspruk and Deputy mayor Maria Porchuk, representatives of departments to discuss the implementation of the project "Integrated development of cities in Ukraine". The GIZ delegation was represented by: project Director Matthias Brandt, the specialists of the project coordination Andrey Zuev, Marina Denisenko and Daria Chugunova, as well as representatives of the Swiss cooperation office Peter Widmer (Deputy Director) and Anna Kuznetsova (project coordinator). "With the support of the local team, we are planning to achieve success and a year and a half to have the perfect plan for integrated development of Chernivtsi – said Matthias Brandt. – First, we implement the city demonstration pilot project. In Chernivtsi will be created office, which will work our experts". "This project is very important for us, especially in terms of mobility the city – said Alexei Kaspruk. – One of the significant problems is the question of the development of public transport in Chernivtsi. With the support of the European Bank for reconstruction and development are planning to buy new equipment. It is also stated that the leadership of Bucharest will give us the trolleybuses that were already in operation. In order to improve passenger transport, mobility map of the city should be written with zero. I am confident that working together with experts, cities of Ukraine and Europe will give a guaranteed result". In the project "Integrated development of cities in Ukraine" are also involved Zhitomir, Vinnitsa and Poltava. This was reported in the Chernivtsi city Council
