In the Lviv region, rescuers together with fishermen focused on developing methods to rescue people on the ice
22 January in the village of the mother of God of Sambir district conducted fire rescue exercise on the theme: “Rescue of people on water about’objects”. Rescuers together with representatives of «Union of fishermen of the district" had tested various methods to rescue people that were under the ice, and the ways out from under the ice. On the eve of the exercises the members of the "Union fishermen" gave rescuers a special wetsuit to rescue people in the water. The suit is waterproof and cold-proof within one hour, and is made of special material that allows the rescuer to drown in the water. This allows a person to stay in water for hours without danger to life and health’I. During the exercise specialists used a variety of gschs rescue equipment: rescue rope, with a length of 70 m, boat, special wetsuit, the pole.
