In the Rivne region, recommendations for drivers and citizens in case of fog and ice
According to forecasts Ukrgidromettsentr, January 27 in the morning on the territory of Kyiv region will be foggy, visibility 200-500 m, on the roads in some places sleet. That is why the State service of Ukraine for emergency situations addresses to citizens with the request to adhere to the basic rules of safe behavior, in particular during driving. Gschs of Ukraine recalled that, when the ice on the road surface increases braking distances, it is therefore necessary to choose a safe speed, take into account the traffic intensity, characteristics and condition of the vehicle. Drivers should pay particular attention to traffic on overpasses, bridges and overpasses since these places are more likely to ice. While driving in the fog should: - significantly reduce the speed of movement; - if the fog lamps to turn them on together with low beam; - keep safe distance with cars; - when you stop to activate the emergency lights; - avoid sudden maneuvers on the road. During the ice pedestrians should follow these recommendations: 1) choose the right shoes – it should have a deep tread pattern on the sole; 2) to walk slowly, legs slightly relax your knees; 3) do not keep your hands in your pockets – this increases the likelihood not only of falling and getting serious injuries, especially fractures; 4) to walk on a sidewalk sprinkled with sand or salt, or neritopsina snow; it is desirable to move the inner edge of the sidewalk; 5) when you drop the head should be pressed a chin to a breast, and hands – to the body (the first appointment will protect the back of the head from the sudden collision with the sidewalk, and the second – from fractures and dislocations).
