The Rivne region: a resident of the area admitted to militiamen in preparing to participate in a terrorist organization
it is Established that 26-the summer inhabitant of the Sarnensky district of Rivne region had the intention to enter into the composition of one of illegal armed groups "DND" and "LNB", the objectives of which is to change the boundaries of the territory and the state border of Ukraine. In August 2015 the man was contacted by phone with the leaders of the separate mechanized brigades terrorist organization and received information concerning the entry into its ranks. However, disappointed in the activities of illegal armed groups, sonnenchein at the end of October last year, has arrived to employees of the security service of Ukraine and frankly confessed to the crime. Further, during a pretrial investigation the citizen contributed to the investigators of SBU the criminal disclosure offences under part 1 of article 14, part 1 of article 258-3 of the criminal code of Ukraine (preparation for participation in a terrorist organization). "According to Ukrainian law, a person who has voluntarily informed the law enforcement Agency about the terrorist activities, contributed to its termination or the disclosure of crimes committed in connection with the creation or activities of such group or organization shall be exempt from criminal responsibility", - explained the procedure the Prosecutor in the said criminal proceedings - the Prosecutor of Department of supervision of observance of laws by bodies of SBU, and state border guard service of Prosecutor's office of Rivne oblast Vladimir Filippov. Given the fact that the man surrendered to police and confessed to the Commission of the offense, the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region has directed to court the petition for the release of the latter from criminal responsibility.
