Sergey Mashkovsky: Zhytomyr region made their choice
January 28, in the Zhytomyr oblast state administration held a training seminar "Practical anti-crisis measures in the sphere of housing and communal services". The event was held with participation of head of oblast state administration Serhiy Mashkovsky, management of districts and towns of our region, housing maintenance, water and sewage, heat supply companies, condominiums and cooperatives. Sergei Mashkovsky, in his speech noted that the Zhytomyr region have made their choice – European way of development. This means that we chose the European values, important among them is the attitude to energy resources. The maximum reduction of natural gas consumption and the relationship of lean to energy, switching to alternative fuels is a major way to energy independence. Therefore, at the region level is carried out daily monitoring of the consumption of natural gas, set up operational headquarters on control of the heating season, organized clock duty in the field and on the ground. "Zhytomyr region has a unique opportunity to demonstrate how collaborative efforts can ensure the energy independence of the individual districts. For this purpose we have everything: own production of modern solid fuel boilers, a strong resource and energy base", – said the head of the field. The potential of biomass (peat, wastes of forestry and wood processing) in the Zhytomyr region is the largest in Ukraine. According to Sergei Mashkovsky, the transfer to the Autonomous and individual heating consumers thermal modernization of objects of social sphere and housing, transfer of boiler houses to local fuels are the main measures to improve the efficiency of use of energy resource in our area.
