30 January 2016, at the premises of the Zhytomyr regional Institute of postgraduate pedagogical education was held the final of the regional stage of the XVI International contest of the Ukrainian language to them. Petro Yatsyk. The competition is held in 4 stages: school, district, regional and nationwide. International competition of experts of Ukrainian language named after Petro Yatsyk contest, which is aimed at the adoption of state status of the Ukrainian language, raising its prestige among young people, fostering respect for the culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people. The competition is organized by the League of Ukrainian patrons. Before the competition from the organizers of the contest were awarded diplomas and books 27 schoolchildren of 3-11 grades of secondary schools, students of 6 vocational schools and 6 College students I-II level of accreditation.
