Chernivtsi: the Medical institutions of the city will receive the BCG vaccine in the first quarter of 2016

Supplies of immunobiological products (vaccines) for the prevention of infectious diseases in accordance with the approved immunization schedule is centralized at the expense of the State budget of Ukraine. In Ukraine vaccination takes place according to the order of the Ministry of health "On the procedure for conducting preventive vaccinations in Ukraine and quality control and circulation of medical immunobiological preparations", with changes (order of the MOH of Ukraine 11.08.2014 No. 551). The Ministry of health supplied vaccines by region according to the filed annual applications. The distribution of vaccines, including BCG, for the city of Chernivtsi is carried out by the Department of health regional state administration. The vaccine BCG (BCG (Bacille Calmette — gu?rin or Bacillus Calmette—Gu?rin, BCG) is a vaccine against tuberculosis made from a strain of the weakened live cow tuberculosis Bacillus (lat. Mycobacterium bovis BCG), which lost its virulence for humans, because grown in an artificial environment. The health Department of the city Council studied the question of acquisition of the BCG vaccine due to the health costs from the city budget. To purchase this vaccine in the pharmacy network is impossible, because it is a living bagaragaza the vaccine, its storage and transport has certain conditions that are not possible with retail purchases. In 2015 2984 born children immunized with BCG vaccine – 1213 children (40.6 per cent). This is due to insufficient supplies of BCG vaccine from the State budget to all regions of Ukraine. So, in June of 2015 received on Chernivtsi region 2000 doses of vaccine BCG (if needed 10 doses of only 440 of the city of Chernivtsi). Children born in 2015 was grafted through residues of the vaccine from 2014. Currently, the BCG vaccine is missing in all medical institutions of Chernivtsi region. At the beginning 2016 funds available for the purchase of the vaccine allocated by the MINISTRY of health. In the first quarter of 2016 medical institutions of the city should receive BCG vaccine at the expense of centralized deliveries. All children according to the immunization schedule was needed but had not received vaccination, in the absence of contraindications, be vaccinated. This was reported in the Chernivtsi city Council
