Chernihiv region: rescue workers carry out preventive work with fans of winter fishing
In the warming period, the ice thickness on the rivers and reservoirs is gradually reduced, which in turn exposes the fans of winter fishing at the danger. In connection’connection with this, the Department's specialists of the regional Department SSES during carrying out road checks of reservoirs with fishermen conducted preventive conversations and distributed visual materials to prevent tragic accidents. February 1 preventive events were held on the waters in Warminsko area and the Dnieper river near the village of Liubech repkinsky district. Rescuers rose’explained to the fishermen about the dangers of walking on thin ice, stay near open water, and can lead a crowd of winter anglers at one place and close to punching many holes. In addition, experts of gschs advised to have a means of escape, to wear light and warm clothes and in any case not to drink alcohol because it reduces vigilance and the feeling of danger.
