In Vinnytsia region continued the implementation of steps to support active women and their participation in political life (photo)
Within the framework of the project "Politics is women's business", which is implemented in the field by the Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration together with public organization "Progressive women" with the support of the Ukrainian Women's Fund, February 2, 2016 held a meeting at the round table. The event was held to enhance the participation of women's initiative groups in cities and districts of the region in the political life of the Ukrainian society at the local level. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration, regional employment center, the public organization "Progressive women", WOOGO open society and active women from the regions and cities of the region. One of the important issues facing Ukrainian society, is the formation of gender culture. This issue was discussed at the roundtable as priority. The participants discussed the need for designing and conducting in the field training on gender issues, implementing gender analysis of programmes and projects, creating favorable conditions for equal participation of women and men in making socially important decisions. It is noted that a large role in achieving positive results is played by the interaction of Executive authorities and public sector. The event was held in an atmosphere of positivity and tolerance, constructive suggestions are given for further work in the direction of ensuring equal rights and opportunities of women and men.
