The increased cost of travel due to increases in the cost of materials, spare parts for repairs, maintenance, rolling stock and catenary. Despite the need for improvement of technical condition of rolling stock (61% of trolley buses are over 20 years old and need a costly overhaul and current repairs), in a planned tariff plans to increase its expenditures for materials and spare parts in accordance with the growth of the producer price index of industrial products by 2016. The big cost is the repair and maintenance of a contact network, the total length of which is 109,15 km and 9 traction substations, on the need for capital repairs, as specified in the acts of the state technical inspection of trolleybus contact network indicating the urgent resolving of technical problems. Planned replacement elements of the contact network according to the results of the state technical inspection of the contact network of state enterprise "Kyiv ART METH" from 9 October 2015 is 8410,3 thousand UAH. The lack of working capital makes it impossible to implement the full and timely repair and maintenance of a contact network. Profitability in the scheduled rate provided for in the amount of 7.5%. It is proposed to install 15 February 2016 the rate of single fare per passenger in the urban electric transport (trolley bus) – 2,00 UAH. The cost of a single ticket for travel in urban electric transport (trolleybus) for students of secondary schools, vocational educational institutions, students of higher educational institutions of I-IV levels of accreditation – 1.00 UAH. The cost of a monthly bus ticket in the city transport (trolley bus): for enterprises, institutions, organizations – 120,00 UAH; for the population -105,00 UAH; for students of secondary schools, vocational educational institutions, students of higher educational institutions of I-IV levels of accreditation – 50,00 UAH.
