Additional holidays for students of Chernihiv extended to 10 February

The chief of epidemiological Department of Chernihiv city Department of the Main Department of state sanitary and epidemiological service of Ukraine in Chernihiv region Svetlana alandarenko has reported that since the beginning of the epidemic season in the city fell ill with influenza and SARS 39019 residents, or 13.5 % of the population of the city. In preschool educational institutions of the city continues to monitor the absence of children in the kindergarten. So, as of 5 February all PRESCHOOL educational institutions of the city are no more than 60% of the pupils. According to the Department of health 13.0% of children are not available for the disease. According to S. Alandarenko, the incidence of influenza and SARS among the population of the city in comparison with the same period last week fell by 20 %, but compared with the 2nd week of the beginning of morbidity is higher by 147 %. The level of the epidemiological boundary for the current week exceeded by 102 %, next week is projected at 133 %. Given the state of flu and ORVI in the city of Chernigov, the members of the operational headquarters decided to continue the additional holidays for students of Chernigov on 10 February. Deputy mayor Olga Hanc noted that "the situation of morbidity in the city are still quite threatening, and the strain of the virus is very aggressive, so for the sake of preserving the health and lives of children should extend the holidays for another 3 days. A certain reduction of diseases among children aged 5 to 17 years, though slight, shows that the restrictive measures imposed effective". A.
