In Rivne region the appeal complaint ex-the militiaman on the conviction of the court left without satisfaction
court of Appeal of Rivne oblast refused to satisfy the appeal of the former police investigator on the conviction of the Rivne city court. As previously reported, the court of first instance 07.12.2015 ex-policeman was found guilty of negligence that caused significant damage to the legally protected rights and interests of citizens and caused grave consequences (signs of a criminal offense under part 2 St. 367 criminal code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to deprivation of liberty for a term of 3 years with a probationary period of 1 year and 6 months, with disqualification to hold positions related to authority and enforcement activities for the same period. In particular, it is proved that the militiaman, improper executing assigned to it official duties due to careless attitude to them, did not ensure proper storage of seized from the citizen money in the sum of 80 thousand dollars, that were stolen from the premises of regional management of militia. In the said judgment of the trial court, the convict filed an appeal in which he asked to cancel the verdict and to find him not guilty of the incriminated crimes. The court of appeal of Rivne region 08.02.2016, the appeal of the convict is left without satisfaction, - this was reported by the public Prosecutor, the public Prosecutor of Department of the procedural management in criminal proceedings of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region Andrey Babich.
