In Ternopil oblast, Stepan Barna visited waste recycling and screening plant "ECO BALANCE TER" in Pleban
Within the framework of the working visit to Terebovlya district on 8 February, the Chairman of the Ternopol regional state administration, Stepan Barna and Chairman of Terebovlia district administration Yuri Nishta visited the facilities of the waste recycling and sorting complex "ECO BALANCE TER", located in S. Plebanka, Terebovlia district. The heads together with the presidents of the community visited the territory of modern plant, which in the year recycles more than 50 thousand tons of municipal solid waste. Line in Plebani, which since 2012 has operated in a test mode, and from June 2015 operating at full capacity, separately sorts the paper, glass, plastic and all what we are daily thrown out in the trash. According to the Director of LLC "ECO BALANCE TER" Maxim Cheap, the company is engaged in the export of waste in the city and the region, then all the debris falls on the facility PWS-50 and loaded on the sorting line: first mechanical and then manual, where workers in special clothes separate everything according to type of recycling material and dumped into special bins. As a result 65% of all Teor compacted into bales and sent for recycling, the rest is disposed of at the landfill. The plant attracted 16 people, for whom in the administration building, also located on-site, there are showers, changing rooms and a canteen. Stepan Barna and Yuri Nishta praised the work and said because this is a big step in the future, which together with raising high level of awareness among citizens that will keep our cities and villages clean.
