In Lutsk the soldiers-internationalists received pam'commemorative medals “25 years of withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan”

In the conference room of the city Council were awarded commemorative medals “25 years since troop withdrawal from Afghanistan” for more than 30 participants of combat actions on the territory of the Republic of Afghanistan during the period 1979-1989 and disabled veterans among them. The celebration was attended by mayor Mykola Romaniuk, Deputy mayor Sergei Grigorenko. Mykola Romaniuk expressed to soldiers-internationalists gratitude for the bravery in the Afghan war, and for the fact that now many of their counterparts are defending our country in the East of Ukraine. “Never forget your heroism and your experiences. You are an example of what should be a real man. Thanks for that meet with youth in schools, and share memories. And many of you dream of this war. Respect and eternal memory to those who never returned from the war, who died after the war from wounds or other ailments,” said the mayor, and encouraged to honor those who died in the war a minute of silence.
