Swedish representatives in Ternopil discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of energy efficiency
Deputy Ambassador of Sweden in Ukraine Heinrich Norberg and leaders represented in Ukraine by the Swedish energy efficient companies visited Ternopil. During the meeting with mayor Sergei Nadal, employees of housing and utilities sector and businessmen, the Swedish representatives discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of energy efficiency in the municipal and industrial sector. "the Purpose of our visit is to find ways for the Swedish-Ukrainian cooperation in energy efficiency projects, showcase projects in this area that can offer Sweden. We see that between Swedish and local, Ternopil, entrepreneurs is the understanding on further cooperation", - said Henry Norberg. Mayor Serhiy Nadal congratulated the representatives of the Swedish side and noted that Ternopil is a very valuable Swedish experience in the implementation of energy efficient technologies. “Several years ago we first analyzed how many Ternopil wasted energy in one year. It turned out that the amount exceeded the entire annual budget of the city, so I had to make urgent steps to remedy this situation. Therefore, the city signed "the Covenant" and actively cooperates with international institutions, such as EBRD, the world Bank and foreign corporations, - said Sergey Nadal.
