In Zhitomir raised the Olympic flag!
The celebration of the Olympic flag took place on 12 February at the sports complex "Dynamo". The ceremony of raising the national flag of Ukraine and flag of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine took place on the occasion of the opening of the II youth Olympic games in Lillehammer. The Ceremony was attended by representatives of management on Affairs of family, youth and sports of the regional state administration, pupils of the regional center, coaches, professionals in the sports industry, fans of physical culture and sports. The purpose of the ceremony is the development of the Olympic movement and promoting Olympic ideals, fostering a sense of patriotism and support for the athletes of the national team of Ukraine which take part in the II winter youth Olympic games. — "I congratulate all of you on open spaces of our Zhytomyr. Though this year representatives from our region at the second youth Olympic games will not, but Ukraine is United and we all support our national team and we support it", – said Deputy Chairman of Zhytomyr regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta.
