In Chernivtsi region rescuers carried out information raids at reminders of fire safety rules

To prevent the death of people on fires, and mitigate the impacts from the 12 February in Chernivtsi was carried out preventive RAID in the residential sector. The event was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of specialists of the Chernivtsi city Department DSNS Ukraine in Chernivtsi region, employees of private enterprise "Region-center" and representatives of the municipal centre of social and medical assistance for single disabled citizens "Care". The data RAID groups held awareness-roses’annually RAID in the residential sector of the Shevchenko district of Chernivtsi. Just in the course of this work representatives of the RAID groups visited about 50 apartments in Chernivtsi, inhabited by lone residents, elderly citizens and those who need social support. Residents reminded of fire safety rules which must be adhered to in everyday life, presented pam’leaflets and alert character. Due attention was paid to fire condition basements and attics of housing, where there is a high probability of occurrence of fires, because in the winter there often arrange a night person without a permanent place of residence. Escaping from the cold, they hide in cellars, attics and different methods of trying to stay warm. Often it uses a naked flame. Using it in the ground and there are fires in cellars of apartment houses of the regional center. In addition, during communication with fellow rescuers told the men how to use furnace heating, gas appliances and electrical appliances to prevent fire. “RAID team will work in the future. Such events are very important, because this makes it possible to prevent the occurrence of fires and, consequently, to reduce material losses and, most importantly, to save lives», – said the head of Chernivtsi city Department of DSNS Colonel civil protection Victor Kolodki.
