In Zhytomyr region a criminal liability for abandonment of the military unit
War crimes – are criminal offences against the established laws of order or objection of military service committed by servicemen and reservists during the passage of the training or special fees. Responsibility for war crimes are members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, security Service of Ukraine, the State border service of Ukraine, National guard of Ukraine and other military formations formed according to laws of Ukraine, reservists during the passage of their levies and other persons defined by law. For unauthorized abandonment of a military unit or place of service criminal liability under article 407 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Maximum penalty — imprisonment from five to ten years. Also punishable by a fine hundred non-taxable minima of income of citizens or service restriction for the term up to two years.
