In Zhytomyr region began the process of certification of National police officers
Certification Commission will consist of members of the public, the media, human rights organizations. The main objective of the certification Commission will be providing quality and transparent appraisal process for police officers. The certification Commission evaluates the professional and personal qualities of the employee and makes a final collegiate decision on his fitness for service in the police. The powers of the appellate certification Committee include the consideration of complaints of police on the findings of the evaluation committees. The mode of work of the Commission will be defined by its head and provides for regular meetings and interviews with staff who temporarily perform the functions of heads of departments of the National police. Proposals will be accepted from public, human rights organizations, international technical assistance projects, MPs and the media. Requirements to candidates: * Motivation; * The ability to dialogue; * Desire to contribute to the process of reforming law enforcement bodies of Ukraine; * Knowledge in the field of law enforcement / jurisprudence; * Knowledge of Order No. 1445/27890 About approval of the Instruction about the procedure for testowania police officers (Order can be viewed at this link); * Analytical abilities and logical thinking; * Political moderation and impartiality; * Objectivity and impartiality in decision making; * Willingness to work in irregular working time; * Desirable experience in the field of human rights / journalism / management personnel; * Experience conducting interviews would be an advantage.
