In Lutsk honored pam'Yat soldiers-internationalists
With the participation of Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Svetlana Myshkovets, the first Deputy Chairman of regional Council Alexander Peraica, mayor Nicholas Romaniuk, of Afghan soldiers and local community hosted events on the occasion of the Day of honoring participants of battle actions on territory of other States, the 27th anniversary of withdrawal of troops of the former USSR from the Republic Afghanistan, the 25th anniversary of the Volyn regional organization of the Ukrainian Union of veterans of Afghanistan. In Volyn regional academic Ukrainian musical drama theatre named after T. G. Shevchenko held a solemn meeting and festive concert. Addressing the gathering, mayor Mykola Romaniuk said that he was pleased to meet again in this hall with the soldiers-Afghans. “Unfortunately, the events in Ukraine in the last two years made it impossible to gather. And now the war continues in the country. It is You, the Afghans showed an example of how to defend the homeland. I want to thank you for making a significant contribution to the education of adolescents and young people. You are an example to follow. Happy anniversary of withdrawal of troops of the former USSR from the Republic Afghanistan and the 25th anniversary of the Volyn regional organization of the Ukrainian Union of veterans of Afghanistan. Your Union is one of the best in Ukraine, with which take an example. This is a great achievement of Grigory p. and all of you. You've done a lot of useful things for suspilstva. I had the privilege to be involved in everything”, - he stressed. Also Mykola Romaniuk said that now is created many public organizations, including participants of the ATO, they would be worth exploring the experience of Volyn regional organization of the Ukrainian Union of veterans of Afghanistan on the organization of work, unity and upholding the interests. For active citizenship, Patriotic education of the younger generation, as well as on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of withdrawal of Soviet troops from Republic Afghanistan activists of Volyn regional organization of the Ukrainian Union of veterans of Afghanistan Nikolay Romanyuk presented Honorary diplomas of the mayor Vasily Arabco and Stanislav Gromyko and Gratitude of the mayor Yuriy Boychuk, Vladimir and Alexander Box Lucas. After the solemn meeting and the concert, the participants marched along the streets of the city and laid flowers to the monuments to Soldiers-internationalists, Volyn, the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred and the Eternal flame at the memorial complex “Eternal Glory”. At the end of the event, the Chairman of Volyn regional organization of the Ukrainian Union of Afghan veterans Gregory p. thanked all who came to honor the memory of the martial sister. For soldiers-internationalists at the stadium “Avangard” worked “field kitchen” where everyone could taste soldier Kulesza and to remember his martial sister.
