In the Volyn region rescuers have launched a public awareness work with population on prevention of occurrence of fires resulting from the burning of garbage and dry grass
16 February, the workers of Kivertsy Department of Department of DSNS Ukraine in the Volyn region and the personnel of State fire and rescue parts ¹6 for the purpose of preventing fires resulting from the burning of garbage and dry grass held a rose’explanatory work with inhabitants of villages Prilutsky village Council, in particular members of the state emergency service worked with residents nearby to the regional center sat Frog, Prilutske Kivertsivska and country district. During podvirna rounds rescuers told citizens about major extraordinary events which have arisen since the beginning of the year in the district, their effects and causes, and conducted fire training. Particular attention SSES focused on the prevention of fire in ecosystems and the prohibition of burning dry grass. In particular urged not to use fire to destroy the dry grass and rubbish, burn the rubbish in gardens and dry grass in open territories. Rescuers explained with examples of last year's fires, careless handling of fire during burning poses could lead to the overturning of the flame’I on private dwelling houses, outbuildings and forest plantations, but can also be a root cause of prolonged fires on peatlands. The rescuers also gave the citizens of thematic leaflets and pam’memos containing useful information and fire safety regulations, compliance with which will allow to avoid occurrence of fires. Communicating directly with the inhabitants of the region, they demanded the utmost care with fire during the spring period, to reduce the risk of fires in the ecosystems there.
